How we research and compare testing solutions.
Comparison pages and guides on this site are published by the company building Testivra. This page describes how options are selected, which sources are used and how facts are checked and corrected.
How solutions are selected
Each guide starts from a written brief that lists five selection criteria and the candidates to check. A candidate is profiled only when every criterion is confirmed on its own site; candidates that fail are listed under "Not included and why" with the criterion they failed. Comparison pages cover the offerings named in our input files; adding one requires a new entry and the same research.
Testivra appears in a guide only where the brief allows it and it meets the same criteria, labelled with its product stage. Profiles are listed alphabetically.
Which sources are used
Facts about another vendor come from that vendor's own documentation, product, pricing and company pages. Company facts such as founding year and location also need a second, separate source: press coverage, a public registry or a directory profile. Facts about Testivra come only from our own product records.
Each fact is stored with the page address, a quotation of under fifteen words from that page and the date it was read. Review platforms may be named with a link; their scores and review counts are never shown.
Whether hands-on testing was conducted
We have not conducted hands-on evaluations of other vendors' products unless a dated test log is linked on the page. No page on this site links such a log at present, so every profile and comparison describes what vendors publish, not how their products behaved in our hands.
How ranking criteria work
Guides do not rank. Each profile carries a "Best for" label that describes a team situation, never a position or a score. A guide is published only when at least six entries meet its criteria; a comparison only when at least seven of its ten criteria have a source on the vendor's own site. Pages below these thresholds are listed on not published with the reason.
How pricing and feature claims are checked
A price is shown only when it appears on the vendor's own pricing page; third-party price estimates are never used as values. Before a page is built, a separate verification step re-opens every source address and confirms the quotation is still on the page. A fact whose quotation cannot be found is removed rather than kept from memory. Some review platforms refuse automated requests; for those pages the quotation is checked by opening the page in a separate fetch, the check is dated, and it is repeated within 90 days or the fact is removed.
Pricing facts older than 90 days are flagged for review and facts older than 365 days are dropped.
How commercial relationships are disclosed
Every comparison and guide carries a disclosure block naming the publisher and any commercial relationship with the vendors on the page, as declared in our publisher records. Where a relationship has not been declared, the block says so rather than claiming there is none.
How reviews are updated
Each comparison shows a last-reviewed date and each guide a review date. Pages are re-checked at least once a quarter, and every build flags pricing facts that have not been re-opened for 90 days; the dates change only when the sources were re-opened.
How readers can request corrections
Send corrections to hello@testivra.com with the page URL, the sentence in question and a source. We review requests within ten business days, update the page and note the change and date at the bottom of the page. You can also use the contact page.
Comparisons are listed on the compare hub and guides on the guides hub; publisher details are on the about page.
